First off, I cant belive its been a year already, its gone so quick!
I'd like to thank you all for downloading this and reading it,
it means you are interested in scenetorrents and all things related, or
it means you are closely involved in the ScT community.
In this nfo, i will tell you how sct started, how it has changed in my eyes,
what to expect in the future, current staff members views,
ex-staff members thoughts.
Back in 2005, I, Feeling / FeeFee / maVen / SithLord (however you have known me)
was Staff / Uploader at Elitetorrents and PreTorrents, When ET got shut down by
the FBI, and a few weeks later PreTorrents closed due to lack of funds, i found
my self homeless *cry*. After a month or so i started getting spammed on msn
by wazup to start a torrent site, after i few weeks of nagging i caved in and
said yes. I cant remember what happened after that, i just remember joining our
IRC channel on efnet, yes efnet, and meeting the rest of the crew. These were,
djGrrr, AOHELL, adrock, webby, wazup, zasx, chriz, xmore. Some were from
PreTorrents, some were new. This is how ScT got called "PreTorrents 2" or
"The next PT" as it consited of some of the same staff. I cant remember how ScT
got its name, maybe one of the other ex-staff members remembers. After hours of
talking we move irc networks to P2P Net.
Here we set up the channels, got a layout together and spead word that the fastest
torrent site was about to hit the internet. The IRC channel soon started filling
up, only after the 1st day of spreading the word there was over 80 ppl idling the
#scenetorrents channel, and the site wasnt even open yet! On the 27th Of August
the site went up and we gave people some idea of what was coming up with tease
screenshots.

On 29th August we finally decided the site was ready for the public, we did a radio
Challange where we had 40 listeners all wanting the 1st invite to scenetorrents.
even with limited invites per user, we reached out 4000 user limit pretty quickly.
This is where we reset all download on everyones account and increased the user
limit to 8000. With Scenetorrents setting the new standards in torrentsites, from
the "Uploaded After Pre : " to the user pre channel, to the Gigabit servers used to
upload and seed the 1 Min pre time releases. ScT set the standard in both Pre
time speed and bandwidth. Even at 8000 Users, we could still match the bw speed of
a site that had 50,000+ users, now thats impressive.
We have had our downs too, from the Scene wanting to take us down, with
the group "Anti-P2P", the word soon spread through the warez world that there was
a fast torrentsite out there, that was even faster than some racesites / topsites.
so sceners somehow got invites and watched over scenetorrents reporting our pretimes
over pre spam, trying to get our sources cut off. On Christmas Eve 24th December in
the evening, things took a turn for the worst. Scenetorrents was somehow hacked by
Anti-P2P, and they took over. We were quick to act, we killed the site so no damage
was done. Thank Fuck :D.
Over the next few months we increased the user limit again to 10,000 where it stayed
till recently. the site was contantly full, if a users account was deleted, it was
replaced instantly. We added new content, added new catagories, new staff joined
the team. Sadly we lost a few too, the original founders me and djgrrr are still
here and still wanting the best for scenetorrents, we love what sct has become
and the community it has developed and we are glad to see that scenetorrents broken
the one year barrier. Not many sites break this due to being shut down or lack of
funds. So, id like to thank all the donaters for keeping the site running, id
like to thank the uploaders old, and new, for keeping the uploads coming, and
all having a laugh, and i hope you stay till with us untill the end. While im on
the thankyous, i would like to thank djgrrr for all the hard work he has put into
ScT, i dont think i have ever properly thanked him for what he does, he is usually
to busy ;) and i hope u will carry on improving what is already a great torrentsite.
The Future. Well, i dont really know, some of the upcoming changes you will like, i
wont say what they are as it will spoil the suprise, even the staff dont know, as i
want it to be a suprise for them also. There is a few major changes coming up and
a few minor. I suppose i can let you into one minor suprise, new ranks anyone? ;)
The ScT community is very strong, we have 250+ people on irc, with a peak of 420+,
with only 8500 Users regged on the site, this is alot, esp as FL / TL have over
100,000 users and dont even have as many as ScT in there channels, which i think
just proves what a small little commuity we have here at scenetorrents. If you
havn't used IRC before the users come here and bring up the latest topic in convo,
or talking about the latest releases, or just sex each other. Here they can also
chat to the site staff and uploaders as well as other users in real time, and find
out how the people behind Scenetorrents really are, as they find out we are not
a scary bunch of staff, some users are scary but they are easily tamed. ;)
Im personally not a big fourm person, so i cant really comment on them, yes i read
but dont really post. I lurk. :D

SceneTorrents, the next pretorrents... that's actually what we were in the beginning,
the next PreTorrents. I think that it has become a lot more than only that.
All the things we tried in the begining, to eventually become the best torrentsite
around went pretty well, if I may say so myself. ScT has one of the best bittorrent
communities that I know of, and that's actually all that counts. The forums/IRC
are great,and with the fast pre-times ScT is one of the best trackers around.
These facts make me really regret that I quit staffing at ScT.I was too busy for school
at the time so i had stepped down. If I wouldn't have quit staffing, I would probably
not have graduated,so that eases the pain a little ;p

Mi sie wydaje, ze PU do wczoraj byl od 25GB, wprowadzajac nowe klasy userow pozmieniali tez nieco obecne. Teraz PU jest od 50GB, ale Ci co mieli juz PU badz po dodaniu tych 20GB mieli wiecej niz 25GB juz niedegradowali do usera. Z reszta nie spotkalem sie jeszzce z tym zeby przez zmiane regulaminu ktos zostal zdegradowany o range nizej.

dokładni to samo spotkało mojego znajomego... zostało zablokowane mu konto bo rozdawał zapy... ktos napewno podwalił
to jest polityka strony i raczej sie tego nie zmieni, jednak to pozwoli w przyszlosci wyeliminowac chiterow, bo nie zawsze jest pewnosc ze zaproszona osoba jest ok,
juz na oink jest cos takiego, tyle że tam jeśli się zaprosi chitera to w przyszłości już nie dostanie sie więcej zaproszeń, jednak na jedno wychodzi,
nie warto zapraszać przypadkowych osób, albo dokładnie je sprawdzić,
chociaż nie zawsze ktoś może udokumentować screenami swoje działania na paru kontach, bo może istnieć posądzenie o przygotowanie obrazka z odpowiednimi danymi,

Mam pytanko odnośnie ScT, wczoraj dostałem zaproszenie a dziś gość który mnie zaprosił ma konto zablokowane. Orientujecie się czy moje konto też zablokują ?
Hubabuba222, To zalezy za co gosc dostal bana - jak za oszukiwanie to nie powinni Twojego zablokowac. Jezeli za sprzedaz invite'ow albo rozdawanie ich przez fora to mozesz dostac ostrzezenie(albo nawet Bana).
Powiem Wam tyle, to właśnie m.in. dzięki takiej polityce jeśli chodzi o zapraszanie nowych userow ta strona jest jedna z lepszych :rap:

czy na ScT mozna sie logowac i sciagac/wysylac z roznych IP? bo ja przekroczylem limit na chello i chce na 2 dni dac kumplowi dostep do konta, on tez ma chello ale inne ip. w ich FAQ tego nie znalazlem :/ prosze o pomoc!

można, ja współdzieliłem ze znajomym konto i nie było problemów, teraz nie robiętego bo zapomniałem hasła a po formacie plik gdzie je miałem zapisane straciłem ale konto działa do dzisiaj tylko muszęnapisaćdo znajomego żeby mi przesłał hasło :rap:

Ostatnio dawali nawet osobom mającym 25GB uploadu i to nawet gdy zostały one PU dzięki dodaniu bonusowego uploadu.
